Well when I mentioned that it was going to be a quick burst of energy I didn’t quite expect it to be that quick but the reports were pretty much spot on. Although, speaking with a fellow surfer of mine today we realized that MSW is all over the map. Well wait a minute, we didn’t just now realize that but with swells like these they are always pin-point accurate and when the summer comes and we’ve all been waiting for weeks and weeks on end for waves – their accuracy somehow disappears completely. Funny how that happens, well this was quite the quick one, top photo is at dusk last night and bottom photo is from first light this morning.

I haven’t had a chance to post much this week – we had a large amount of work associated with the Moe. show and I was just really stoked to hear there was a small Nor’easter coming our way for the weekend. Snow: Some places in Maine saw up to a foot, most Northern VT resorts saw less than half a foot, I think the sweet spot is gonna be Saddleback. Swell: MSW and the other swell charts were showing a super quick burst of energy, maxing out towards the middle of the day and dropping off by nightfall. I got a chance to check it out around 10:15am and it was pretty gnarly looking, definitely some size but real messy. I knew the wind was gonna switch and the tide was gonna back out so we decided to head back down around 2pm, I got in the water for about 45 mins until the 3mm booties just weren’t quite doing their job anymore and grabbed the camera.
