Hampton in September | Teaser
I’m going to put a small skate flick together in the coming weeks to showcase some of the local talent. Hampton skatepark has become such an awesome little skate spot. Thanks to Pioneers Board Shop and everyone that made it what it is.
In other news it looks like we may see a little bit of snow up North this weekend – stay tuned for updates because we MAY be going skiing!!!!!
Also, it has come to my attention that the deadline for the Cold Smoke Film Festival is coming up on Nov.1 – I may be putting together a little movie that follows us in late-summer through our Winter. Still brainstorming concepts – drop a line if you have any ideas.
Here’s a little teaser with Josh Ferrand and Johnny Grasso — more to come.
Oh ya and we don’t care if you don’t like dubstep. Smileyface.
The Waiting Game | Chapter 5 – MARIA
Phil at Cinnamons told me that there should be a small bump over the weekend and that MARIA swell should show sometime towards the beginning of the week. Damn he couldn’t have been any more correct. What a fun session to shoot on Tuesday – really amped on this one….it gives me goosebumps just watching it. Please pump the volume and set the resolution to 1080p.
Jenness | 9.19.11
Met up with my longtime buddy Harry Fallon this evening for a bit to check out his new Canon 7D. Surf was alright and the sunset was awesome but we were a little bit late. Dawn patrol tomorrow morning.

Joel says this guy's name is Steve and he's got some serious soul. Seems like there's a few Steve's around here with Soul.

Photo Portfolio
I updated my photo portfolio this evening, you can access it by using the navigation bar towards the top right. Also give Andy’s portfolio a look too, some outstanding photography in there.
The Waiting Game | Chapter Four – KATIA
Katia delivered some fun waves, unfortunately the wind didn’t want to cooperate until the very end and it was cloudy for the majority of time we saw surf. The last session, Friday night I believe – it was pretty solid, 6 ft. with a light west wind. Most of the photos are from that session. Joel also got a nice barrel – scope out Chapter Four for the clip.

The Doc told Andy he couldn’t go surfing with a burst eardrum but there just aren’t enough Hurricane swells in a season for him to pass it up. Needless to say, a heaving barrel sucked it off of his head after the first wave.
Weekend Low & Hurricane Katia
Well I hope everyone made it down to the beach this weekend, I know the entire province of Quebec was there. It’s been out of control and crowded all summer, interesting how it’s much less stress sitting on the beach filming.
Looks like Katia is going to bring us some waves, I saw 5ft at 11 seconds for Wed-Thurs, that could be real solid for the North East, looks like the WCT guys are stoked too – they’re down in Long Beach, NY for the Quiksilver Pro New York. Pretty stoked to see pros getting barreled this close to home.
The Waiting Game – Chapter Four is a work in progress, going to wait and see what Katia brings before I do any rendering, I’ve been tirelessly working on figuring out Twixtor’s super slow mo settings and hopefully I’ll have it figured out by then. In the meantime, check out some photos from this weekend.
This shot of Jared above has taken me over two years to finally capture. As the sun goes down the light sneaks through the spaces between the houses at North Beach and occasionally makes these light sections on the wave, a few times I’ve gotten a shot of Casey within inches of the sweet spot but they just weren’t good enough. It all came together with this one.
The Waiting Game | Chapter Three
This chapter follows Alpine Live through the four month flat spell we endure every summer, just when it feels like the walls are caving in we got some Irene. Looks like the forecast is pretty promising, Katia is making it’s way across the Atlantic now and should be showing some energy by the middle of next week. Get stoked!
