I haven’t had a chance to post much this week – we had a large amount of work associated with the Moe. show and I was just really stoked to hear there was a small Nor’easter coming our way for the weekend.
Snow: Some places in Maine saw up to a foot, most Northern VT resorts saw less than half a foot, I think the sweet spot is gonna be Saddleback.
Swell: MSW and the other swell charts were showing a super quick burst of energy, maxing out towards the middle of the day and dropping off by nightfall. I got a chance to check it out around 10:15am and it was pretty gnarly looking, definitely some size but real messy. I knew the wind was gonna switch and the tide was gonna back out so we decided to head back down around 2pm, I got in the water for about 45 mins until the 3mm booties just weren’t quite doing their job anymore and grabbed the camera. Unfortunately I misplaced my big lens and had to settle with my 18-55. Dawn patrol tomorrow, camera or surfboard?

Moe. weekend at Killington. Saving this spot for a later post.

Note: Lucas and I would like to give a special thanks to Bill and Joe from Swany gloves, they went above and beyond on this adventure to make it as productive as possible – could not have even experienced this weekend without them. Also a thanks to Hal from HK Entertainment, Hal got us the Moe. interview as well as got our cameras into the show both nights despite strict regulations and guidelines – THANK YOU HAL AND SWANY!

During our off-time we got some turns in at Killington, the umptillionth pow turn of the season.
Gas Station Chicken. This was one angry chicken, it chased me to my car at the gas station, the owner told us he was waiting until the kindergarten class came for a field trip and then he’s gonna kill it.

Sleeper day, woke up and it was pumping..

Bolton received 8″ overnight — pretty crusty underneath but the resort was empty like usual so there was plenty to go around.
Side Note: We will be covering Snoe.Down this weekend at Killington for Swany Gloves…be sure to get in touch with one of us if you want to join in the fun.

After a long trek up Hillman’s and over into The Duchess, he started to make his way down. He made it below the ice bulge in the center and clipped a small sapling mid-way through his third turn. I guess you can just watch the video to see what happens next.

Finally a little action on the surfing end, we’ve had some hefty snowstorms this season but very little swell. Offshore all weekend and plenty of crowds to welcome in the spring sun.
