The swell filled in during the afternoon, tomorrow morning is really looking up. I’m hoping the wind stays N for the morning – it’s expected to turn NE – ENE towards mid-day. Heres a little teaser from today, I shot video for the most part but Mike came out real late in the session and my camera was already off the tripod.

Spring Verses | Part 9

This is the final installment of Spring Verses – praying for our friend Jon Peters tonight. Stay strong brotha.

I’m sunburnt – the all knowing MSW says waves on T/W….see you then.

Cinco De Mayo

Happy Cinco De Mayo and thank you to Las Olas Taqueria for the free t-shirt today! Once the tide dropped out a little bit (2pm-ish) the waves got fun, the sun even peaked out. All of the boys were at the wall, beautiful offshore winds all day long — endless smiles all around. Finally had a go with the new lens and I’m pretty happy overall, it’s a hard piece of equipment to keep steady and that will be my biggest challenge. I snapped a few random shots throughout the day – take a look and keep your eyes peeled for Spring Verses | Part 9.

Spring Verses | Part 8

Waves today?! (thanks for the text Joel), waist to chest high ground swell filled in over night and stayed together until about noon. Pretty sun burnt and tired but stoked to finally get some better shots. The Sigma 120-400 OS lens came in today, I didn’t get to use it much but pretty stoked to be able to dial it in during low tide.
Downdays Part 2 should be ready pretty soon, I’m waiting for another big flat spell to finish it up.

Spring Verses | Part 7

I’m pretty disgruntled at the moment, a solid wind swell was supposed to fill in this AM and never really came through. I’m going to venture to say it had too much South in it, maybe the Central Maine coast saw some solid swell but barely a trace down here. I wanted to add some more surfing to Part 7 but you’ll have to settle for some landscape and lifestyle stuff – aside from that, Part 7 took the most time of any part in the series and I’m super proud of this one. Sidenote: I went ahead and bought a bigger lens…it cost me a fortune but hopefully it’ll improve the quality of the surf videos. Enjoy and thanks for checking us out.
